Transportation
As an Ohio State student, there are tons of things around the city you don't want to miss. There are great transportation options to help get you there:
Shared Transportation
Ride Share
Around Columbus, you can use many of the ride request systems like Uber, Lyft or a taxi.
Scooters
You have the option to scoot around the city using Bird, Lime and Spin scooters (just make sure you wear your helmet!).
Walking
Columbus is ranked the 27th most walkable city in the United States. You can get around the city and enjoy the sites on foot. There are also plenty of parks and trails for you to explore through Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks and the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
COTA
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) provides bus services throughout the Greater Columbus region every 15 minutes, all-day, seven days a week. All current undergraduate, graduate and professional students can venture off campus and enjoy all that Columbus has to offer by simply swiping their BuckID when school is in session. Whether you need to get to an internship, run some errands or explore the Short North nightlife, COTA can get you there easily and safely. Learn more about COTA.
COGO Bike-Share
The COGO public transportation bike-share system has more than 600 bikes at 70+ stations available 24 hours a day located around the city.
Buckeye Bike Hub
The Buckeye Bike Hub is a central campus location where students can help with their bicycle problems. Stemming from a partnership with Ohio State's Transportation Traffic Management, the Department of Recreational Sports and the Office of Student Life, the Bike Hub allows students to fix their own bikes using DIY tools or have the hub staff fix their bikes for them.
